Hiking at the heart of the Les Carroz Grand Massif

Tour of the Mont Favy

Direction “Serverey par le Clis”. At the “Le Saix” signpost, direction “Prés du Bois”. To return, follow signs for “centre sportif”. Points of interest: Very easy for children; information board about the relief and topology of the surrounding mountains.

Airon lake and alpine pasture

A the top of the télécabine, follow signs for “lac de l’Airon”. To return from the lake, direction “col de l’Airon” and “La Kédeusaz”. Return to village in the telecabine. Farm made cheese on sale, trout fishing, beautiful views.

La Croix des 7 frères using the telecabine

Take the telecabine. At the top, Follow signs for Croix des 7 frères (The 7 brothers’ cross). From the cross, retrace your steps for 50m, then direction Les Tronchets and Les Carroz. At the Praz roti signpost, direction “Pestaz”,then “parking telecabine”.

Circuit La Colonne-Lac de Flaine- Plaine Joux

Pas l'Ane car park, head in the direction of La Colonnaz, Col de la Frête. Optional detour to Tête Louis-Philippe (30 min round trip). Direction Col de Cou. Optional detour to Lac de Flaine 30 min. Tête du Chevet and return following signs to Les Carroz.

From Les Molliets to Haute Combe

A marked path to go to the Haute Combe refuge in the Molliets bowl.

La Colonnaz

From Les Feux, follow the signs for “La Colonnaz”. Return in direction of “Les Feux”. Walk suitable for everyone (pushchairs), jogging… Panoramic view of the upper Arve valley.

Start from the Mont-Favy car park. In the Araches fields, magnificent view on the « Pointe d’Areu » and the « Vormy » mountains. Will you easily find the famous « Pierre à Laya » and its legend?

La Croix des 7 frères

From Grangettes car park, follow signs for Praz roti par Lanches d’en bas, Les Tronchets, then Croix des 7 frères (retrace for 50m), then Tête des Saix. At the Sairon signpost, direction Les Carroz par Gron, Ruisseau de Gron and Grangettes signposts.

The mine circuit

From the Pas à l'Ane car park, follow the track overlooking the valley (beware, sheer drops). Continue on to the metal ladder going down towards “La Colonnaz”. Follow the return path direction Les Feux, then the Flaine road back up to the starting point.

Religious heritage paths

An easy walk for families (4/5 hours long). You will discover oratories, chapels and churches. From Les Carroz to La Frasse and back to Les Carroz.

The Servages

Starts from the Servages car park. Follow signs for “Timalets”. At the “alt.1360m” signpost, direction “La Pestaz”. At the “Pestaz Haut” signpost, direction “Les Servages”. Panoramic view of the village. Forestry setting and wild life.
